I started having a real panic last night. All the things I had planned to do so far have not been done - and I am behind as usual.

I have between 10 and 17 for xmas dinner.

have to re-do my xmas list completely due to impending wage`cuts. I have to get myself organised or I will be getting my self in a right old state.

In a word 'DELEGATE', basically explain that as this year is 'credit crunch' year and that you don't want to spend all the time slaving in the kitchen etc, you think that everyone needs to contribute:

Someone brings the starters
Someone else brings the sweet
Everyone brings drinks etc

Delegate the housework, laying the table, washing up etc.

I have to do lists and as you say delegate - the worse thing is going to bed and then start thinking about things- if I have it written down I can then forget about it.Also I have to work right up to christmas.

Also its going to be hard because my son does not know it yet but he is one on a (possible )list to be made redundant after christmas ( I know because he works at the same company as his dad)
So looks as if I will have to hold in that info all over christmas because it is not definie yet. Also MOH will have a salary cut.

We will be alright though and there are lots worse off than us - it makes you concentrate on the important things - so probably we will have a good big family christmas - I have to just stop panicking.
