Northern meet (Beagles Christmas Do) - Octoberish?

Is anyone up for a meet, up North round the end of October, like sat 24th.

Think it was too near to Xmas last time.

I'm up for it, although I did think that some people are asking for a Southern Meet as well, so perhaps we could promise a Southern one for early in the new year.

So as you've suggested it, where do you suggest it is ? Have you any venues in mind ?

Perfect date for me.... kids will be at brother in laws wedding so i'll have weekend to myself anyway

Manchester is to far for me, but I know StrugglingMum, little sally and myself would be up for a southern meet

Is there a station near there ? Is there a decent place to stay ? Are there books available in Smiths for translating the lingo ? Will Utd and City both be playing away ?

Mocha why don't you all investigate the trains before you say no, mine worked out really cheap to the Brum meet, £19 return and not a bad journey either.

Is there a station near there ?

You can spit on it from the Tram stop (which runs across Manchester and between the main stations) although Victoria is Only 5 mins on foot

Is there a decent place to stay ?

There are hundreds of Hotels, but should be easier as it isnt at xmas this time

Are there books available in Smiths for translating the lingo ?

We will manage with your Essex accent, or just pretend to and nod every now and then

City at Home to Fulham & united away at Liverpool

3 hrs 45 mins train, 4 hours driving.... I just dont sit still that long! Not to mention the £61 train fare.....
