Ok, so its back to the premier league this weekend. Interesting news coming from Derby where Nigel Clough takes over the club his family name is known. Maybe he might have better luck. His father never won the FA Cup so maybe clough Jnr might do the impossible.

Kris Commons' fierce strike gave Derby County a shock win in the first leg of their Carling Cup semi-final against a lethargic Manchester United side.

Stop worrying about the Premier league, if you want real entertainment you only need look further down the leagues as this clip proves.

Time to cut to the chase. I am a Cambridge United fan through and through. Went to Wembley last year to see us lose to Exeter(knew they would win btw so not that disappointed). However, this year we are 2nd chasing Burton Albion and when the opportunity arrived yesterday to close the gap we threw it away. GRRRRRRRR! However, Burton have a tough run in, Torquay to play twice and Kidderminster, Stevenage and I think Wrexham and Histon(not sure who I want to win that one . Very tough run in. We gotta go after them.

However, I am keeping my eye on Luton Town(could they survive??). They won the Johnson's Paint Trophy this afternoon and Chairman Nick Owen was delighted(remember him from TV AM?)

Luton have gone down. 30 point deduction is simply too many to overcome although they won the Johnstone Paints Trophy. At the moment for me personally Burton are playing Oxford(probably the only time I want them to win). Cambridge United away at Salisbury. We need to win to guarantee the play offs as a minimum.

Ok many of you will know my disappointment at the Cambridge United 3-1 loss in the first leg of the play offs for the football league. Well, we're going to Wembley again 2nd year running. Scott Rendell goal in the last minute of injury time. YYYYYYYYYYYYYYYEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSS SSSSSSSS
                        We won 3:0..........

                          Congrats.

There was an amusing chant from the Newcastle fans who watched there team lose yet again and who look almost certain to be relegated.

It was aimed at manager Alan Shearer who the fans have quickly fallen out of love with: ''Stayed on the telly, you should have stayed on the telly''.

Local rivals Histon in the other match and currently winning 1:0 albeit they are down 2:1 on aggregate. Personally I would prefer Torquay to Histon.

                                Don't cry for our Argentinian,
the truth is he never loved you.
                                Fergie ignored him,
                                while rags adored him.
                                Oh what a pity,
                                he signed for City
