    Re: Very worthwhile cause

As I said earlier, I have read Amethyst's solicitors letter and I am still more than happy to support the CAG both in word and financially.

I am of the opinion that this is just one side of the argument, the CAG is trying to help and advise vunerable people and they have my support.

Tomorrow when Amethysts letter is posted I am sure the CAG founders will counter this with their side of the argument, they may however be more circumspect about what information may prejudice their case and post accordingly.

I must say there seems to be alot of negative remarks about the CAG on here considering how "mangnaminous" some proport it to be...It doesnt instil much of a welcoming atmosphere!

      Re: Very worthwhile cause

The letter has already been posted on CAG, members are already putting their thoughts across.

As to negative remarks, each to his own. Free speech and all that, as I said earlier, at least CAG is allowed to be mentioned on this forum, whereas Legal Beagles is not allowed on CAG. I contribute to both forums, as do many others on this forum.

All donations would be really appreciated.

I joined the CAG in July when I recieved a Statutory Demand out of the blue. I did a web search and found the CAG. They are absolutely brilliant, members and the site team took me through the setting aside application etc and I learned so much about how to take back the power I had given the DCA's. Through their support and excellent advise I was successful in having the SD set aside and was awarded costs into the bargain!

I now (cautiously and tentatively) attempt to help other forum members when ever I can in order to repay some of the support and help I recieved at a very dark time in my life.

I shudder to think what I would have done if the CAG wasnt there. so If you feel you could spare a couple of quid please, please donate!

        Thank you.

To be truthful, I wouldn't donate a bucket of pee if they caught fire OTR. They by their own self worth lost many very valuable members of their team and many unsung members who had put in much of their own free time, only to be abused, used and looked down upon by some team members, who thought/think themselves as overlords. I have found this place, its members and team to be very united and hard working for the causes they feel strong about and in no way are they in it for fame or fortune, unlike those OTR.

        Long live Beagles.

Yes because i was told this site was better than CAG nd MSE but by the loks of things it seems just as bad.

I cant believe the childish behaviour that goes on fancy posting solicitors letters on here.

That is the sort of behaviour i would expect at my sons nursery school.

                            Re: Very worthwhile cause

Well, we do try to be helpful whenever we can. With regard to the posting of solicotr's letters, the same sort of thing gets posted on other sites all over the place, as do SAR's, Prelims, letters to and from DCA etc. The only reason, in my opinion, that the solicitors letter in question was posted was to keep members informed of what was going on in view of the rather wild and unfounded accusations which were flying about on CAG regarding the claimant wanting to close down CAG, claim millions in damages etc. etc, which is so obviously not the case. So it was done (I personally think)to keep things open and let the members here know what was going on. TBH I find this site very open and friendly, no misusering, moderation, banning etc. And no censorship either, apart from the obvious such as swearing. No vitriolic attacks and insults without finding out the full facts first, either.

                              Re: Very worthwhile cause

Glad to know but i work for a very demanding CHARITY which does not have a backer and as a result most of the staff work for nothing.

We are reliant on donations and i am on call 24/7 for my service users.

Sorry if you feel that your job is more demanding but some nights even with a 2 year old son i get not an ounce of sleep as i am working on fundrasing and work relating to my service users.

Unless u fancy making a donation to the cause or even doing a few hours unpaid work and just seeing how demanding it is.

I am not understanding how this makes me into a liar though ?
