I seem to have one living in my house. It doesnt have clogs on and i dont live in a windmill.

Anyway, i don;t want one of those chop its head off type traps, A cause its cruel and unnecessary and B cause I have three kids with investigative fingers.

It seems to have come down from the loft, I assume from next door as the house has been empty a while. Seems to be living in my airing cupboard, have heard scuffling for a few days and have just managed to see it. So its not my imagination unfortunately.

So very cheap humane child friendly mouse trap anyone?

No i dont have a cat (nor do i want one)

How about the cat that Cetelco is trying to get rid of? (only problems are catching it and the chance of it leaving a nasty deposit in your airing cupboard):behindsofa:

I should imagine it will not be on it's own either Ame, so if you do catch one, carry on with the trap till you hear or see nothing.

Another idea for you Ame that will also keep the kids involved/busy as I know they love their experiments. Have a competition between them, make 3 of these, put their names on and give a prize to the one that manages to catch the mouse.

All the instructions are here I know they will love making them

                  Failing that, borrow Cetelco`s

                    Re: Mouse

actually thats not bad - though i cant see the mouse leaping 8" to get to the peanut butter and shreddies. But will give it a shot (i must be crazy)and yep kids will enjoy it much more than hacking the mouses head off. I hope.

                      Re: Mouse

I respectfully refer back to Jasper Carrott's "The Mole" story that I mentioned in Cet's thread.

I can just see Ame sat on a swivelling chair with a 12-bore shotgun in her hands that has a torch tied to the end

                            Re: Mouse

Humane traps are all very well, but you will have to take the mouse miles and miles away to release it. Otherwise it will simply walk straight back in again.

Try one of these, they are excellent.
