HBOS statement

The attached file is HBOS Today, a staff bulletin passed to me by an ex student who works for them.

Points to note

1. They refer to the length of time as unclear, despite the notional timetable produced. (Yorks Bank also say that such a case is likely to take at least a year). I suspect that there is every intention of dragging this out as long as possible, with a facade of a timetable that refers to the end of 2007 for a conclusion.
   
2. They restrict their remarks to bank OD fees, again making no mention of bounced payment charges.
   
3. They expressly state (first time I've seen it in print) that their credit card business is unaffected by the case.
