Looking for a little advice. BW legal got a county court judgement on me which I payed in full the day it was issued but now they are saying I still owe an overdue balance on the same account? Would they not have applied for the full amount to be cleared in 1 go from the county court. They are now threatening a further county court judgment. I thought that by settling the debt with court in full that would be the end of the matter but now they are bringing a second case on the same account. Any help and advice appreciated. Thank you.

Re: BW legal county court judgement
Sounds like it may be a communication error or their records are just wrong.
Have you checked your credit file / registry trust to ensure the CCJ hasn't been put on your file ?
If you are certain it is for the same account I would be inclined to write to BW legal with a copy of the original judgment and details of the payment made. Or give them a call and ask them to double check their records ( if you have the claim number it would probably help ).
Hopefully that will just bring an end to it.#staysafestayhome

Re: BW legal county court judgement
I rang them yesterday and they said I had payed the court costs and the warrant whatever that means but I still had a balance of £178 pounds outstanding. Surely the full amount would of been declared on the county court judgement.

Re: BW legal county court judgement
Umm yes. Possibly interest if allowed for in the judgment ? It should say on the judgment order - possibly contact the court and ensure it has been marked as paid and not entered on the register.
I'd ask them to put in writing exactly what they say you owe and explain why it was not covered by the judgment.#staysafestayhome
