anyone know what I can do to get my money back from this company who last year sold me a hot tub that has never worked ? we were in the process of court hearing but they repeatedly used delay tactics and are now in the process of finding a liquidator....

Hi and Welcome

From companies house I note that there is a proposal to strike off this company, whose status is still active.

You need to object to the proposal so your court action can proceed (https://www.gov.uk/object-to-a-limit...ing-struck-off)
They told you they were looking to go into liquidation? but didn't mention the proposal for strike off?
A strike off fee is £10 (i think).. liquidators costs a minimum of £!000 +(??) which way are they going?

thanks des8 no they never informed myself or courts they had applied for liquidation we found out simply by cort post being returned marked gone away....

We are Combined Shipping Company Limited. If you have bought a spa from DANZ LTD we may well have contacted you to make alternate arrangements to supply your spa. Unfortunatley the management of DANZ LTD have refused to send over all customer details and so if you are affected please call (admin: number removed for the moment) and we will do our best to help.

We are both the importer & the carrier of products you may have purchased from DANZ or Highland spas. If you paid by card from April 2016 onwards it may well be that our company has full or part payment for your tub & will honour any agreement you made with Danz.

For those who have paid by BACS, Cheque it is most likely that this money is now lost. We believe that Danz has little or no available funds to offer any credit back to disappointed customers.

If you are looking for spares for either Danz or Highland spas tubs we can arrange replacements from the manufacturers.

Weird, voluntary strike off already when the company was only incorporated in April.

I think redress from the credit card companies is the best way to go.

Hmmm. According to an article in 2015 about founder of Danz Spas Daniel Thomas - if true ( and presumably the journalist would have checked??) then it's very odd a company was set up in April 2016. More investigation needed I think.

The company in question is Danz Spas, a Nottingham-based supplier of Chinese-built outdoor hot tubs and spas. Today, Danz boasts seven staff, purpose-built offices, a nationwide network of engineers and a 2014 turnover of £1.1m, with plans to reach £2.5m within three years – but its beginnings were modest to say the least.

Therefore I would take Combined Shipping Company Limited's post with a big pinch of salt, and refer the the DANZ website instead.

The company isn't yet in liquidation.

Please note that until a liquidator has taken over, there will virtually no telephone support as our workforce has been made redundant. We expect to announce details of a liquidator at some point over the next 14 days.
There will however be limited email support. However, please appreciate that in the interim this is being manned by on a single person. It may take some time to respond.
If you have an unfulfilled order
You should will have received an email from us yesterday. If your order was paid for by Credit Card, Debit Card, or by PayPal, our recommendation is that you contact your card issuer who will likely issue a refund.
If your order was paid for by Bank Transfer, you will need to lodge a request for a refund with our liquidator. Once a liquidator has been appointed, details will be provided on our website and in an email if this applies to you.
Some orders may be still be fulfilled depending on the stock we have available.
After Sales Support
Unfortunately, as the business has ceased trading, it no longer has any employees that will be able to assist directly with after sale support. If you have an existing hot tub, your warranty was with Danz Spas. As the business has now ceased trading, sadly, this warranty is no longer valid.
If you have one of our newer Balboa models, a warranty may be available on the Balboa branded parts through Balboa.
If you are currently awaiting a spare part, if the stock is available, this will be sent out shortly.
If you have an ongoing technical support ticket, please bear with us. You will get an email outlining what options are available for moving forward shortly. Again, this may take a week or so.
In the longer term, it is our intention to launch a non-for-profit website (www.danz-support.co.uk) to provide a limited degree of support to older customers. We intend to include details on the parts your hot tub uses, where these parts can be purchased, common issues, and limited email support. It will take us 2-4 weeks to launch this website. We will do what we can to help.

Combined Shipping's last shareholders list only has the Treacy's.
