If your payment is due on a bank holiday, you’ll be paid on the last working day before the holiday.

Imdue to get my ESA on May3rd, will i get paid early as i have done a few times in the past?

Esa will be paid as usual on 3rd May. I telephoned ESA Enquiries

Only payments usually made on a Monday will be paid early - so only if you were due to be paid on 2nd May, it should be with you on Friday 29th April. Anything else will be as normal.

I had a weirdness of overpayment of my Child Benefit too this week - no idea why but usually things are a bit gerkined in April for some reason.

TAX CREDITS & CHILD BENEFIT

As Christmas Day is on a weekend it's slightly complicated this year ..... the BANK HOLIDAYS are.....

26 December - Monday - Boxing Day
27 December - Tuesday - Christmas Day Substitute Holiday
2nd January - Monday - New Years Day Substitute Holiday

If your payment is due Mon 26th December It will be paid on Friday 23rd December
If your payment is due Tues 27th December It will be paid on Friday 23rd December
If your payment is due Weds 28th December It will be paid on Friday 23rd December


If your payment is due Monday 2nd January It will be paid on Friday 30th December
If your payment is due Tuesday 3rd January It will be paid on Friday 30th December
If your payment is due Wednesday 4th January It will be paid on Tuesday 3rd January

All other Benefits should be paid the previous working day before a bank holiday.
