  • I'm not sure what this means?

I tried to subscribe to the paid Legalbeagles because I really could do with the legal advice. I think the legal forum idea is fantastic as it presents a non biased environment where difficult legal situations maybe debated giving everyone a clearer grasp of the law. I am far more likely to believe what is posted on a Legal forum than what I might be told by an individual law practitioner.
As it is I believe I have posted more than 5 times in a specific thread.
Yet I am told that the are no subscriptions available to me.
To facilitate my membership do I have to of opened 5 unique threads or more?

Here is the message I am getting.

Thank you for the kind comments

I can't see any reason why your subscription isn't working - have a try with this link http://www.legalbeagles.info/forums/payments.php - and if that doesn't work I'll sort it out manually for you xxx

I tried your link and got the same thing. I'm using a Smartphone in the USA although I am British and my legal issues are in the UK and my method of payment would be from my UK bank account.

Here's what I get when I visit the link you posted:

Thank you very much for the VIP bump.
Is the £15 a year automatically debited from my account. Whichever one I wish to use. Bank or PayPal? In all honesty, I hope I won't need too much legal advice in the UK in a year, So I might not need the forum. But there again, you never know?

Re: I'm not sure what this means?

I just want to let you know. I'm not trying to skip out of paying. I just seem to have an issue with transferring money from my UK Barclay's account to your account. I'm not sure if its the Bank or the phone company. The bank needs to send a 'Short code' SMS message to my phone in the USA so that I can relay the code back to them as conformation of the transaction. It'S possible that T-Mobile my US phone carrier in ththis past couple of weeks has maybe disabled my ability to receive 'Short code' SMS messages on my Pay as you go, phone account. I'm looking into it right now. Or maybe the bank has a technical issue :-(

                      Welcome to VIP

The subscription gives you access to an area of the site where you can enjoy more privacy, for example, if you wanted to post about a sensitive issue and were worried about being recognised.

However, it is not necessary to subscribe or pay to get help or answers to your questions, LB is a free forum, the VIP area is an optional extra. :thumb:

Re: I'm not sure what this means?

Thanks for letting me know Flaming parrot. So anything I post in the VIP section is just limited to being viewed by the VIP's? Obviously I'm trying to get as much information as I can. With as wider a viewing in respects to my legal questions as possible. Would it be wiser to get bumped back down to a regular user do you think? Or do my questions go out to the general LegalBeagal users. I'm a bit confused :-(

You're over thinking Don't worry, post in whichever section suits your query and someone will give you a hand. VIP is more private.

And don't worry about the payment for VIP subs until you can sort it out without it being a big pain in the bum for you, ok xxx

Re: I'm not sure what this means?

Thank you most kindly Amethyst, I believe my bank made the transfer (The money was debited from my account). I had to call it in over the phone, in the end. Spent quite a bit of time on the phone with my telephone companies technicians and almost as long with the Barclay's international service people. Based in Singapore. My metaphorical bum is still sore from all the scratching. :-) Although the monetary transfer seems to be made. The still seems to be an issue with the 'Short code' SMS messages getting to my phone from the Bank in the way of randomly generated password confirmations of requests made for transfers. Please let me know if you got my payment if you can. :-) As I said, I would probably prefer it if my comments and questions were more public. Therefor potentially drawing the largest scope of interest and potential solutions to my legal issues. Because I can't even begin to tell you how lost I am in my legal issues. :-) But you can only do your best, and hope your best will do.
