Have never and never will vote in any election unless we have a referendum on Europe as far as im concerned no one who has ever stood for election where I lived represented my views until we have honest open elected representatives I and many others will not support them.

We are seeing now on the run up to the general election who will be standing for parliament rescent reports in the media concerning UKIP candidates and now a Conservative one show us what low lifes there are

I've voted in every election since I was old enough to vote ... I was told (when I was younger) that if I didn't vote, I couldn't complain about who got elected

Re: Register to vote - Have your say.

I've always voted every time that I can. for almost 50 years now. My grandparents fought in the cause of universal suffrage (many men could not vote let alone women) and suffered as did many others with incarceration, force feeding and all that went with such a cause. It would therefore be disingenuous of me not to vote on every occasion that I can cast my vote.

I agree that most if not all politicians are dishonest and incapable of telling the truth however despite voting Labour most of my life, on the basis that NO politician will do me any good I try to work out who will do me and mine the least harm.

We should have a system here as in Australia where you are compelled to vote and I still believe that if turnout exceeded 80% of eligible voters then things would slowly change.

        regards

If are compelled to vote there must be a NONE OF THE ABOVE box to tick

Of course there should be an abstention box in my view, plus if there is over 50% abstention in any constiuency then the candidates should forfeit any right to stand again in any election.

Problem there is that they would rerun with same candidates and many of those who ticked box would not bother to vote again

I know I said this before….Ad nauseam some might say…but the politicians know exactly where the highest turnout is and what demographic. Middle class. They only help working class or, dare I say, less well off ( is poor now a no-go word like fat –sorry cannot keep up with the language of cowardice) because they are obliged to but be in no doubt they will put most of their effort into pleasing those who vote for them. So you may not vote because they do nothing for you and your area –fine. They won’t this time either because….you don’t vote so why should your opinion matter to them?
If I am paying someone’s salary I sure as hell want to have a say in who gets the job!

Labour are getting a bit pushy in asking for donations now....

I know we've asked you — more than a few times — in the last couple of weeks for a donation to support the crucial work of our local organisers and volunteers.

It seems from our records that you aren't yet among our generous group of online donors.*

I'm sure it's for a good reason, and I'd love to know what it is. Do you have one minute to tell me what's stopped you donating?

local councils also seem good at de-registering likey voters 6 month before elections due. am going to do a proper survey of this after the circus has finished. My council, there definitely seems to be a link between the amount of people de-registered, and the areas likey to vote for one particular party.

Elections are getting boring, we need to try something new, maybe a version of hunger games to choose our representatives.... or laser guns of cause, big ones, for when the break there manifesto promises.... what's that ????, you didnt ?????? ZZAAAPPPPP !!!!!! next candidate please
crazy council ( as in local council,NELC ) as a member of the public, i don't get mad, i get even
