      Just "luxury items", then?

Whilst I thanked you for your comments, I do not agree that IDS can fairly be likened to an anal sphincter.

One's bum-hole usually permits one to release faeces at a time of one's choice and hence serves a useful purpose.

IDS, on the other hand, seems to have no useful role whatever.

Thank you for pointing out the effects of IBS rather than IDS.

I have edited my comment accordingly.

The only similarity between IDS's mouth and the bodily orifice in question is that they both emit the same bodily waste product.

I have no doubt that IDS gives everyone IBS.

The above is what started the petition and here is the response from Ian Duncan Smith.

He has also stated that the petition is a joke. http://www.guardian.co.uk/politics/2...ition-benefits

That's nearly a quarter of a million voters who are jokers.......hmmmmm, maybe that swing seat might not swing his party's way!!!

If anything, it shows how arrogant and out of touch he really is, Leclerc.

To be fair BB it's not just him - they all (all politicians) are. If the £53 is supposed to pay everything except the rent as Enaid suggests then it really isn't possible - it just isn't. If it's "just" food then it could be done, just, I think.

Memo to Cameron, Osborne and IDS: The electorate isn't stupid, they don't believe anything you say, they know the truth as to why the economy is in the state it is in and you'd be better calling a General Election and putting the Tories and their supporters out of their collective misery.

If you live in private housing you then have repairs topay for...you will also have CT to pay, mine is 1.50 a week but if I had a spare room it would be more. My electricity is £30 per month yet allI run is a fridge and heating one day a week.To go shopping it's either Coop over the raod at stupid prices or a £4 round trip on the bus to Tesco (its a 20 minute walk so not possible for many).
