Re: HSBC's £10k fee
HBOS yesterday introduced a new £295 "mortgage account fee", that is payable when the borrower switches to another lender or repays the loan.
HBOS, which owns Halifax and Bank of Scotland, said the fee is designed to cover the administrative costs associated with a mortgage.
Ahh right - Mortgage Fees: Reclaim £100s if you've switched or repaid a mortgage...
Has to be for peeps on new mortgages that sign that term in the original contract - they can't just impose it on anyone leaving.#staysafestayhome
