  • New Consumer Complaint Site

This is quite a neat idea. A Spokesman Said is run by former Sun editor Kelvin Mackenzie.

    This is how it works:
    • You complain and the clock starts ticking
    • This puts pressure on the company to give you the outcome you want
    • Your case determines the company's Customer Powerscore

Might be good once companies get involved, and if the clock stopped once the actual complaint was resolved rather than just when they reply on the thread with a stock answer to phone customer services.

I agree it is a good idea though.

I find that after following the usual procedures a mention on the dealers Facebook page sometimes gets results. I had a particularly good sttlelment from a travel firm after the ombudsman had failed going down this route recently.

Whether you are a fan of the Sun or not Kelvin Mackenzie is like a dog with a rat when it comes to slapping down the big boys –if he is hands on with this it could lead to a big shake up in the way genuine complaints are handled.

An optimist is someone who falls off the Empire State Building, and after 50 floors says, 'So far so good'!
