According to Which?, Abbey and Lloyds TSB customers who are overdrawn by £50 for at least three days are worse off than they were before the waiver was imposed. Alliance & Leicester customers who spend longer than three days in overdraft are also worse off, it says. Furthermore, despite agreeing to leniency for customers suffering financial harship, the banks have been levying harsh fines against the unemployed.
