    CORONATION Street star Michael Le

    Apr 15 2009
    Business IN BRIEF
Coronation Street star Michael Le Vell has landed a new role - as a consumer champion helping people ripped off by banks and lenders.
Le Vell, who has played mechanic Kevin Webster for 25 years, has become a board director for financial claims management specialist Ratio Money.
They help people burdened with mis-sold payment protection insurance, excessive bank charges, unfair credit agreements and mortgage offers that have not complied with the law.
Le Vell, 44, said: "I know how easy it is to get sucked into unfair agreements."
