Aye i didnt get that - they made short selling legal? and there are now instructions on investment sites how to go about making money from short selling ? seems a bit crazy to me, but then stock markets have never really worked in my head.

Of course short selling is legal why would you think it wasn't. The FSA placed a temporary stop on it until a few days ago & they lifted just in time for the spivs to make a killing................& the tax payer to lose a fortune

What is illegal & what the hedge funds rely on is the rumour mill which causes share prices to drop making the spivs millions. So it it's up to you to figure who starts the rumour in the 1st place
