Something someone said I thought I'd post

At the time I was warning that the 'advisers' involved in this initiative had only received an average of eight hours training before they were set loose on members of the public. I compared this to the 280 hours of study required to pass the entry-level Certificate in Financial Planning #or the 680 hours required to pass the proposed new benchmark, Diploma in Financial Planning#.

Any support I provide is offered without liability, if you are unsure please seek professional legal guidance.

I think it's a good idea, but to be honest I doubt it would have very much effect. The amount of time these people will be able to give you, and the level of advice, is constrained by a very small budget.

        Hi,

With the state of the current economy, more and more people are finding it difficult to meet their financial obligations. A large percentage of these individuals does not know how to get rid of debts and avoid bankruptcy.

The measures taken by RBS are really are the first signs of easing the monetary turmoil. Once the situation snowballs and gets past a certain point, bankruptcy will not be there.

Russell, I was a natwest moneysense advisor for my branch. Please explain how someone who is salaried by the bank, is trained in sales and talks to someone in a room where posters tell you how much NatWest or RBS can save you money is IMPARTIAL advice?
