Hi,
I am named in a will as joint beneficiary to my Grandfathers estate with my sibling and mother. My mother is executor.
I have briefly viewed the Will and it initially says that the estate goes to my mother “absolute” (I don’t know if this is because she is executor) and then my sibling and I are named as having an equal share. There is no specific percentage share mentioned in the document at all.
Does anyone know what this means? Is it essentially left up to her to decide how it gets distributed?
My Mother has mentioned her keeping half and splitting the rest between my sibling and I equally.
