Hi,
My wife and I both have in our wills that should anything happen then the surviving spouse inherits everything, and should we both die then everything goes to our children, that bit is straightforward.
However, my wife has found out that her parents are leaving their house to her in their will and when she dies it passes to the grandchildren (our children). Does my wife need to rewrite her will to take account of this or will her parents will override hers?
Obviously, once she inherits their house then it becomes her property and by the wording of her current will should anything happen to her then all her property passes to myself? Or will her parents will override hers? Is it best if she gets hers rewritten to specify that her parents home goes to the children?
