    Re: Vodaphone early upgrade woes

It was my initial complaint, but I then raised an additional complaint.

The above is on their website. Puff, I cannot find anything on the OFCOM website that specifies first contact within 72 hours although I know in terms of banking complaints that the timescale you have given would appear to be industry standard, ie 2 working days so in this 24 hour world a complaint received after 10pm could potentially not receive an initial response for that timescale.

Its not something they publicise really, as most complaints are dealt with within 48 hours at the most.

I think its a default thing, 72 hours is a "acceptable" period of time to deal with a complaint, or at least acknowledge it.

Thanks all, have bashed out a letter to ping back to them when they can be bothered to answer my message of complaint about my complaint!

Thank God, I thought I was going to be unlawfully cyber zapping your gonads!! Thank God I'm not.

I have a dislike to "official sponsors" of companies who come on here after their representative have messed up and then claim to be God. Lee represents that God like person yet he is merely a monkey when the organ grinder will do. I would add I'm an atheist Thank God!!!

I haven't come across anyone at vodaphone who has been of any help.

Lee can go and sod off to be honest. Put this in writing to the CEO, ie post 1. I want to state that I have dealt with the office of Vittorio Colao in relation to my mother a few years ago and received a very prompt response from his office at that time. I recommend dealing with Vittorio's office and not Lee from Vodafone. You spoken with a number of monkeys in the organisation so time to deal with one of the organ grinders

                          Hi Dan,

Whilst it's disappointing to read about your recent experience please be assured that I'm as keen as you are to ensuring that this gets resolved as quickly as possible.

From the email reference number you've posted I should be able to trace your details and as such I'll get back to you as soon as possible.

Plus Lee only works during the day and he's always on the internet so Lee, if you have got any jobs going then send me a PM cos surfing the net copying and pasting the same thing is a job that even me as a monkey can do
                          Hi leclerc,

I accept that there are people who would prefer to seek assistance through alternative means to company representatives who provide support on online forums. However, there are also those we are happy to accept assistance no matter what guise it comes in.

Naturally part of my job involves replying to our customers online and often I do need to invite them to email me so I can help them with a query which requires me to have access to their accounts.

I've never professed to be a miracle worker but as those who've got in touch with me over the years following my intervention on other forums such as Money Saving Expert and the Consumer Action Group can attest to I do try to be as helpful as possible.

                          Kind regards,

                            Re: Vodaphone early upgrade woes

                            Hi,
to keep the thread updated I spent several hours trying to get a direct e-mail adress for the customer services and had to have a long protracted exchange of tweets with Vodaphone to get one I sent an e-mail detailing the Ofcom regulations around complaints, detailing dates and reference numbers. Vodaphone as per every other exchange I had with them managed to muck it up and sent me a very robust defence of their actions on a much later complaint that I hadn't even mentioned mysteriously glossing over the complaint that they had seemingly forgotten about.
They did however promise to honour a previous promise to knock 2 months off my contract which cost £57 to leave which I have taken. Its a very interesting concept Vodaphone are going for in their complaints department, if we muck things up and mess people around enough they might leave us alone.
I have been seeing lots of bits around and about online about Vodaphones complete lack of ability when it comes to customer services. I do however have to say Lee has been the Only person out of about 20-30 people from Voda that I have dealt with who has been in any way helpful, I received several e-mails chasing up my complaint, and has sent several follow up e-mails to see how things have gone, It was nice to have someone from Voda take an interest.

All in all after my experience of Vodaphone I will most definitely not be using them ever again, and the Gaping lack of a formal apology for all the hassle caused by their constant mess ups have left me feeling even more annoyed.
I wouldn't go back if they paid me.

Perhaps, I am being a bit harsh with Lee because you appear to be up for the job so I'll try to refer complaints with Vodafone to you and providing the feedback remains good with your correspondence then I'll tone down the stuff a bit.

To the OP, glad you got it sorted out and pleased that someone has finally listened.
