      Re: BT again!

      Got another E-mail from CEO.
I am not allowed to ask for a transcript of the call but have to do a SDAR,
But how come she was allowed to listen to it then .
She still wrote that the security was my account number and phone number.
BUT I still have to give them a chance to look at the connection issues which is dropping more and more.
I am expected to, again. remove the cover and try the hub through an ADSL filter (which I do not have)
Person from Newcastle has rung and has tested both with and without land line attached and is sending a new mark 3 hub.
Likely to be next week now!:smash:

            Re: BT again!

Mr DT says no sign of delivary today, at daughters for the weekend and hooking up to her hub.
The difference is amazing, did not realise how rubbish my connection is.
And still the person from CEO says that if open reach have to come I will have to agree a fee, if any, but will only refund if on the bill. Funny that she did say they would waive any charges, I wonder if that would be on a recording if I did do an SDAR?

You can ask for the recordings of the telephone conversations. I have done this with BT in the past.

                    Re: BT again!

Well went out my back door to find the new hub on the floor by the gate, looked as if it had just been lobbed over it, instructions on it were to leave it in a secure (?) covered (??) place NO card through the door, only time I as out was with my dogs, how did they know it was the right address, and it could have been nicked.
Any way all hooked up and running all of 0.3 (believe it or not that is fast for me!)
Still got the little tablet to configure and still to try in the test socket.
Still open as the tech guy wants to see how it goes as he says they may be able to do something about the speed.
                    Still not 100% happy.

                      Re: BT again!

At the beginning of this year we had awful trouble with our broadband (BT of course) in the office, ok in mornings, did speedtests every day, three or four times a day, and kept it on a spreadsheet, it was always around 12 for the download, but completely dropped out in the afternoons, we had many visits from the BT Engineers, now bearing in mind this is our business address and we rely heavily on the internet it was very, very bad for us, in the end after much screaming and shouting and so on, one engineer suggested that we switch to BT Infinity, all I can say is what a difference, just done a test and its reading 38, ok sometimes it goes down to 15 but its working.
Might be worth investigating the infinity.

Did as requested by BT plugged new hub and phone directly into the the test socket, verdict is no difference so Open Reach is coming next week!

Just been reading Puffs post about BT.
This is what they expected me to do as well!Anyway Openreach man came today, new dual socket on the wall then disappeared to the cabinet and exchange, now getting a speed of about 3meg ( was 0.3 )! Got to give it about a week :beagle:
