Time for a change. At present We pay B.T. for line rental, Talk Talk for calls and A.O.L. for Internet.
    1. Line rental - £14.00 pm (if paid on time and no charges added)
    2. Calls - £23.86 pm
    3. Internet - £19.99 (increased this month from £15.99).
    4. Total - £57.85 pm :eek2:.

Line rental, not sure but I think we're stuck with B.T. until early next year due to their changes to bill payments at beginning of this year. So will need to check & compare different payment plans for B.T./Talk Talk to see which is going to be the best option.

Internet not to happy about the 25% increase (especially as we're on dial up and I've seen cheaper Broadband packages) but not sure if there are any cheaper alternatives.

    Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I pay £20 a month for telephone, tv and broadband with Virgin Cable. No BT Line rental.

Talk Talk do packages as well, so do BT, and I think Sky. I went for cable so I didnt have a seperate line rental bill.

Depends if you can get cable really I guess....Sweet 16 - Broadband, TV Phone is £27 a month for tv, broadband and phone with unlimited eve and weekend calls.

Why are you on dial up anyway?

I changed from AOL to sky and we have the phone line, phone calls and broadband from them.

      Phone line is £10.50
Phone calls are: £5.00 (which includes all calls to 01,02,03 numbers any time of day, plus other discounts - but I can't remember what they are!!)
Broadband: £5.00 per month for 8mg spped and 40mb download (I think......), we were sent a new wireless router and all the bits to go with it.

Anyway it saved us a forture as my BT bills were about £35+ a month and AOL was £20.00, so a saving of at least £35 a month

Out in the sticks can't get cable, so we're going to have to stay with either B.T. or Talk Talk for the phone. Just not sure what to do about the internet.

I know with A.O.L. Broadband you can get free calls, but until B.T. decide to bring us into the 21st Century and improve the line, that's not an option.

I wouldn't use Virgin Media if they were the last supplier on earth.

Right had a quick look at price plans and think best option is B.T. unlimited anytime plan. Going by this months bill should be able to save approx £8.00pm on local calls and discounts for paperless bills and paying by D/D.

Will do a more thorough check later.
