Thank you. It's an ATV (All-Terrain Vehicle). If it is commonly-used on public roads, then it has to be registered with DVLA, taxed, insured and MOT'd. If it is only used on private land, it does not need to be taxed or insured. If it is used for agricultural purposes, specific rules apply.
Life is a journey on which we all travel, sometimes together, but never alone.

" Private" road up to a council car park with beach access and a lifeboat.
Then tarmaced road (recently resurfaced by council) of about half a mile to local "b" road, this in turn leads to, in on direction local village (2 miles) and in the other the nesrest "town" (just a bigger village!)
Not been out on it today, from what I can tell.

In other words, it is inherently unroadworthy?

If that jalopy is used on the public highway, then it must be taxed and must have passed the approved MoT test which, as it seems to have neither direction indicators nor windscreen wipers, might present a problem.

I wonder how well it would run if the tyres were half-full of seawater.
