Hi
I have a Volvo XC40 and am in the last year of my 4 year HP credit agreement although I wish to return the car and end the agreement early through VT.
Recently the powergate developed a fault where it does not latch and close securely, just pops back open after touching the lip.
I've read on motoring forums where this could be faulty or rusted struts and seems to be a common issue with this model.
My query is that I don't know if this fault falls under fair wear and tear? Would I be liable for repairs if and when the vehicle is returned? The vehicle has been maintained properly and has not been in any accidents.
Thanks
Mike
