Car rejection: Vehicle not of satisfactory quality. Court or Ombudsman as next step?

Hi Des - Both. In the same claim. Should add the response I reference above was from the finance house. Nothing from the dealer. Request for judgement was submitted for each.

Even if a judgement is entered, the defendant could apply for set aside.so you might as well agree (altho' I wonder what reason a professional outfit could give for missing a court deadline)


In HANSON v CARLINO (https://www.bailii.org/ew/cases/EWHC/Ch/2019/1940.html) an application for an extension of time, made after a default judgement had been requested,
was refused. However there was history in that case, and it was decided the claimant would be prejudiced if the extension was allowed.
