Hi there,
In March this year I called Northridge finance to advise I could no longer afford my car financed through them on PCP following a long term abusive relationship breakdown. I asked them if I could finance a cheaper car through them instead. I was 2 yrs into a 4 yr PCP contract. The chap I spoke to was most unhelpful and the only thing he was concerned about is if I could make that months payment.
I continued to scrape by until I no longer could in May this year, when I got a much cheaper car to do me for work. I also at this time, moved to a new house and started a new job. I tried to contact them repeatedly, spending nearly all of my break on hold trying to get through to them. Eventually got through to a much nicer person who advd me she would send my options via email but that although I'd paid for 2 yrs I still owed more than 50% and that I would be liable for around £2000 of costs. I advd that I was going through a very messy breakup following years of mental abuse and that I was in severe financial difficulty. She advd me I could sell the car and I said I was in a really bad place mentally and did not feel I could cope with this option.
Since then I have attempted to contact them repeatedly via multiple calls and emails (work permitting as I'm a veterinary nurse in a really busy veterinary hospital) they either take longer than my break to get through to them or hang up when I eventually get through, saying they are transferring me to another dept. I've emailed them several times to ask them to pick the car up but they say they cannot do this via email. Their opening hours are 09:00-17:00 Mon-Fri and I work 5 days per week 08:30-18:00. I am moving in less than 2 wks and need the car collected by then. Can anyone please offer any advice?
Thank you very much in advance.
Kind regards Lisa.
