Hello everyone,
My car comes to the end of it's PCP on June 17th, and I am currently looking into VT. My main concern is that the vehicle is over it's estimated mileage, and also needs the alloy wheels refurbishing and some bodywork touching up (light scuffs and a couple of scratches).
I'm assuming if I hand the car back in it's current condition, the finance company will look to charge me for the wheels and paintwork and anything else they can find, but will the charges be more expensive than if I had the car done myself before return? For example, to get the wheels done it will cost me £500, but I wonder how much the finance company would look to charge me.
Has anyone got any experience of handing a vehicle back with work that needed doing, or is it always advisable to hand the car back in the best condition possible?
Thank you
Paul
