  • End of lease charges

    Hi,

I’ve recently VT’d with RCI which in all honesty was pretty painless.

I was advised that I would be charged excess mileage on a pro rata basis (which I politely disagreed with after consulting the guide) and on collection, two alloys were noted as damaged.

It has been eight weeks now and I still haven’t heard from RCI.

I thought I had read somewhere that the finance companies have a maximum of 6 weeks to get back to you regarding any charges.

Can anybody confirm if this is correct?

    Thanks in advance.

Not sure where you heard that from. For breach of contract they have 6 years to bring legal proceedings against you so maybe that's where you got the 6 from. Keep your paperwork for that period of time and then some, you never know when they might come knocking or if they sell the alleged debt on to someone else.
If you have a question about the voluntary termination process, please read this guide first, as it should have all the answers you need. Please do not hijack another person's thread as I will not respond to you
