Thanks so much yous two! i have used the simpler version of the letter and removed the bit about court and added the costs not quantified yet.

ok so random call from the supplying garage

he is saying the DPF light being on and the car failing to regen, oil leaking from the driveshaft and the warning chime is minor wear and tear.

they are defiantly going to make this awkward

        Email is fine.

Any car sold has to be satisfactory, taking into account price, age and mileage.
IMO a car costing £7000+ should not be having these sorts of problems.
They might be wear and tear, but are faults which should be corrected prior to sale, or the price should reflect the faults and the purchaser advised of them.
If they are not corrected and the price does not reflect their existence I would hope the court would find the vehicle unsatisfactory

they are now sending there own independent engineer out to do an inspection aswell so no doubt they will try to say there's nothing wrong with it

If they (dealer or finance company?)are instructing an engineer and paying his fee how independent is that?

I haven't read back over the thread but didn't you have a report from a Vauxhall garage?
And how many times has it been back?

its the broker carfinance 24/7 who is sending an inspector but i honestly dont see how they can fully inspect the car without putting it on ramps.... (doing inspection on my drive)

yes it went to vauxhall for proof of the oil leak but the dpf has started playing up since then.

its been back into the supplying dealer twice but they have had it a total of 50 days since i bought it 24th feb

thanks for you help so far

Your letter of rejection was sent to the finance house, not the finance broker??
Can't see what Carfinance 24/7 have to do with this

me either but apparently the finance company have to get the brokers (carfinance24/7) permission to reject? thats what the finance company are telling me anyways. everytime i speak to my caseworker she refers to carfinance 247 as her supervisor

Im unsure weather they have any right to inspect the car tbh

You can't stop the finance house inspecting, or instructing some one else to inspect for them.
It is their vehicle only on hire to you

Hi Vauxhall’s have admitted liability and accepted the rejection of my vehicle claiming it was a manufacturing fault and offered a refund.
however they have said they can only offer me what they think the vehicle is worth because it is 8 not that old now.
So I look to loose around 10k they also have said that because it has exceeded the mileage they can ignore the extra 19p per extra mile and have charged an average of 30p per extra mile.
they said I don’t get anything because I traded in a van to go towards this insignia which is top of the range!! Surely this isn’t right because if I don’t accept what they are saying I lose and if I accept what they say I lose
                      ease can anyone help

That should say it’s 8 months old

Liltombell6 could you please start your own thread.
Hijacking some one else's only leads to confusion

i dont mind them inspecting it but its been 3 weeks now since they said they would send someone and im still paying for a car that i cant rely on

they are in no hurry to sort anything out even after chasing it up with them
