I am under no statutory obligation to name the driver. No you aren't but If you don't name the driver they can then charge the keeper

They got the rules amended by statutory instrument

Surely I want to say I was the driver as I am the one with the M6 toll receipt and letters and invoices proving that I was driving up to Chester that day???

Pofa 2012 schedule 4 places many hoops in the way for chasing the keeper. These hoops do not exist if the driver is known to them. It may not matter but i wouldn't throw any cards away unnecessarily.

Do you think I can get away with it then? ( not that ive done anything to get away with) Im just worried that I dont have enough proof. What about my M6 toll receipt? The only way you can leave those services via the M6 is through the toll booth's. I went through half an hour after they said id arrives at the service station.

Trip logs are points automatically stored when the GPS device is locked onto a satellite signal and moving. It is the electronic equivalent of laying down a "breadcrumb trail" to mark the path that has been traveled.
Your nuvi or zumo can store 10,000 points before it begins the process of archiving additional logs.* Beyond 10,000 points the device moves the oldest trip data into an internal archive file. Up to 20 archive files can be stored internally on the unit. This means, depending on space available, that the device can store over 200,000 points of trip data.
Note: Archived trip log information is not visible on the device itself, but can be used and seen with Garmin’s MapSource product. You can open individual archives to view in MapSource by following the steps below:
              1. Open the Garmin device drive located in My Computer. [Note: If using a Mac, the Garmin drive will be located on the Desktop.]
              2. Open the Garmin folder.
              3. Open the GPX folder.
              4. Open the Archive folder.

Each archived GPX file can be opened in the MapSource program.

Of course. I'd have said pay them if that was your only option.

You do not need evidence of your sat nav at this point, follow the instructions of Mystery1 for now, you should hear nothing back from them.
