      Re: County court claim form received re civil enforcement ltd

      From OP;

      Dear mystery

      The summons has come to me because I am the registered owner but the point I would make is that I was certainly not the driver who parked in this location. It is just not a shopping centre I use and there are a number of other people who have access to the use of my car at different times.

      The court summons was the first communication I had received and came as a shock. I would have expected that they should have given prior opportunities for dealing with this matter before such a heavy handed approach.

      Hope this helps and thank you for all your help

        Dear mystery

        I have not heard from you so do I assume I have no defence and although it goes against the grain pay the charge to avoid being put on any creditors list.

        Also the SRA have still not replied to me other than an acknowledgement. We are still in australia and wifi is not always readily available where we are travelling

        Look forward to hearing from you one way or the other as my final date for defence is fast approaching

          If you were not driving and they have not pleaded anything about keeper liability, which they haven't, then it's pretty straight forward.

            Hi we are back in uk now and just wanted to thank you for your help while we were away. I did lodge the defence, 28 days have passed but haven't heard anything back from court yet. So far your help and advice appears to have been successful. Many thanks Australia

              Phone the court and see if they've done anything or the claim is stayed (on hold).
