You would do well to search these forums and the private parking forums on pepipoo website for CEL DEAL.

Current status seems to be that CEL/DEAL threaten and then don't pay the court fees and so the case is cancelled. They are also sending out letters threatening greatly increased costs if payment is not received even though they know that the case has, or will be, been cancelled

Keep up the momentum and keep plugging away.

Just though I would update you as regards our Court case.

In response to an email sent to the Court and the attached General Form of Judgement or order. Case has been struck out as at 25.02.2015. DEAL/CEL failed to comply with Order.

Do you have a date for your hearing ?

I suspect given the costs guff the won't proceed/turn up as they won't want a judge seeing that since the claim form has a solicitors fee and their latest cost schedule also includes more costs for the drafting of claim. However we need to prepare anyway.

Hi,

5th May 12:00pm is the date for the hearing but I have to submit a defence to reach the court and claimant by 9th March. I also have to submit a witness statement by 23rd March.

I hope you are right about them not turning up however the old adage of "fail to plan........plan to fail is in the back of my mind so any help would be greatly appreciated.

Another member has also mentioned two other court dates in May in the same court regarding the same car park so I hope this doesn't encourage the claimant further to turn up.

For what it's worth, my wife and I visited the car park last night and looks like co-op have started to use another company to monitor the car park. My wife is convinced the CEL signs were non-existent at the entrance and didn't see anything that would deter her from parking there. I noticed there was no lighting either.
