Parking fine received from excel parking at the peel centre in Stockport.
The driver received a fine through the post asking for £100 there was no fine on the car when they returned.
Driver isn't sure if they should pay?

Only pay it as very last resort after trying everything else. Was it for going over the time allowed? Did the driver have their Blue Badge on display?

      Thank you for your response.

No the driver didn't go over the allocated time slot. The driver parked in the bay in error.

If you know the Peel Centre, usually it has 2 bays per section in this case it has 3. The driver didn't notice. The particular day was extremely icy, when the driver reversed into the bay the car skidded, upon going back to look The disabled badge is sprayed on the floor but is a little faded.

Are you saying that Peel Centre, Stockport has 3 disabled parking spaces normally? Is the £100 because the driver parked in a non disabled parking bay? How did he not notice?

I think it's a multi level carpark and every other level had two disabled bays, just this level had three??

Depending on where you park in the Peel centre the number of disabled bays vary (which the driver has never noticed before)

You have a number of bays then 2 disabled bays then more bays then 2 disabled bays again.

In the particular section of the car park there are bays then 3 disabled bays. The disabled markings are on the floor and the particular day in question it was extremely cold and very icy making the markings not as clearly visible. The car park had also not been salted.

Apparently you get a £60 fine if you pay within 14 days however the driver knew nothing about this until a fine for £100 fine came through the post, which gave all this information. The only remembered the day as they went away the next day and they were last minute holiday shopping

Thank you for your response. The peel centre is not multi level however near the next/TK max stores there are 3 bays

The driver is mistaken - they lay is 1 disabled bay every so often except for this section where there were 3

                          Hi,

Person in question did the appeals process but never heard anything back.
Now received a debt collectors letter from Debt recovery Plus demanding £120.
Asked for evidence as no ticket was left, they have replied with a copy of the ticket but no photograph as the files from that day are corrupt.

                              Hi,

Im not 100% sure to be honest, but I believe it to be the post.
The fine they have received is from a ticket dated in January but never received any correspondence till way past the deadline, I am assuming it is possible as dates have passed they have just ignore and sent direct to the debt recovery people.

They have responded to the ticket evidence they emailed and are waiting a response.
