    Tell her to go buy some new shoes and hide the letter while she's out.

    England and Scotland is very different. Don't send a letter about English stuff for a Scottish thing.

    The whole letter chain is designed to do exactly what it has done to your wife. It'd be more fun burning the money than paying money you don't need to.

        Well that didn't take long.....still not very red, but I've had another notice from DRP;

        "Dear ME,
        Offer to pay unpaid parking charge by instalments
        We have contacted our client, Smart Parking Ltd., about the unpaid parking charge detailed above. As we have not yet received payment, we have advised them that court action to recover the amount outstanding should now be taken.

        Instalment Offer
        In an effort to avoid the cost and possible stress of court action to both parties (yeah, right!), our client has proposed you may pay the outstanding amount in a maximum of three monthly instalments."......

        ..."What if you don't pay what you owe
        If you do not pay the full amount by 10/03/2016 or if you have not agreed a payment plan with us by then, the creditor's solicitor may start court action to recover what you owe. In this case the amount due may increase."

        Thankfully, I managed to get hold of this before the wife....I'm not sure her blood pressure would stand it!
