  • Parking Charge Notice - UKCPM

    Hi all,

I received a PCN a couple of days ago after i parked outside my partners mums to drop of my 7 week old baby boy. the PCN was received through the post and must have been reported by a resident in the opposite flats. on the PCN is shows a picture of my car from the rear in pitch black you can only just make out the entrance to the flat (If you have been there before) and a second picture of the parking sign.
I have appealed this today, on the bases that the charge is to much and does not represent genuine loses to the landowner and that the pictures are not enough evidence to pursue their claim that i was there as they are at night and could have been taken by anyone.

have i done the right thing by appealing or should i have just ignored it as i know these companies are not legally allowed to fine you,

also what do i do next if the appeal is rejected,

    many thank, Jamie

As an IPC member they do not use popla but rather the rather disgraceful IAS. To win an appeal is unlikely but i encourage evryone to complete the process anyway as if you do go to court it helps to make you look reasonable.

Hopefully you didn't identify the driver.

What does MILs lease say about parking ?

        Mother in law.

It means you're far less likely to win by appeal. In court that means nothing (if it gets that far and if they have the balls to do it)

          ahhh i see haha,

she doesnt have a space as she doesnt drive, there are around 8 spaces for 100+ occupants. i wasnt even parked in a space it was on the side of the road, not blocking or obstructing anyone, i been turned in by a do gooder thats all.

im pretty sure UK-Car park management use POPLA or am i wrong?

will i have any leg to stand on if the pictures they have produced are poor quality?
