Received a parking charge notice issued 03/05/2013 for an offence on 20/04/13 from the above company for £90 or £45 if paid within 14 days for 'maximum parking allowance exceeded' from when my girlfriend took our son out for the day while I was at work. just wondering what should we do and where we stand. ignore it? what happens if we continually ignore this and any further letters? Would I stand a good chance of winning if it went to court?

Re: Parking charge notice from Civil Enforcement Ltd
This sites recommended line is to appeal it, and then ignore any further communications entirely. It is highly unlikely you would end up in court, and if you did, I am only aware of one case where judgment has gone against when the case has been defended - the ones advertised tend to be summary judgments where the people just don't turn up.

Re: Parking charge notice from Civil Enforcement Ltd
Do not appeal, totally ignore them, the wording below will explain why...
Your blue badge does not entitle you to any parking privileges on private property. We would refer you to your blue badge handbook for more information.
Whether your disabled or not makes no difference to them, its your cash they want

What are you waffling on about now,for goodness sake?..OP hasn't mentioned blue badge at all.Try giving sensible advice or none at all. It's obvious you're a devotee of the FMOTL claptrap and if that works for you then Yay!! Go you! but let other posters on here help OP's without every thread becoming your voice only.
TallMidget,,stick with the advice Labman has given you,it's sound.

The post does raise two interesting points, though:- Would a Free Man On The Land really contract with the authorities to provide him with a blue badge?
- Does a blue badge provide obvious evidence of some form of disability, or is that another "legal fiction"?
Answers on a postcard, please, addressed to your local nut-house.

Re: Parking charge notice from Civil Enforcement Ltd
You really are convinced im a free man of the land hahaha if only you could see who i really was, i dont have dreadlocks, pony tails and smoke weed, check the civil enforcement site on blue badge if the poster is not disabled then its best to give him proper advice as many have said before that private parking bailiffs should be ignored at all costs, but what you are advising is he appeal to them, if he loses the appeal (which he will) then he has a contract to pay. (Yes contract or is that just a freeman of the world thingy)

Do not appeal, totally ignore them if they come knocking remove their rights of entry.
Now you can take my advice or go for the appeal, let us know the outcome, cheers.

Originally posted by salsmoss View PostThe op has had a parking charge notice from civil enforcement, it is very important to have a look at them closely and i found that being disabled is no excuse, now as it states on their site you agree that tallmidget should appeal to this company, lets hope no one asks for your advice concerning ATOS (god forbid)
See the above for the recommended Legal Beagles approach. One thing I have reproached you on is the fact that you are giving advice based on Blue Badge holder information which whilst interesting to know is not contained in post 1 so please, if you are going to give advice then either ask them the question "Are you a Blue Badge holder?" or if you are not going to ask the question of the poster then please do not give advice on a generalistic wishy washy manner that ignores that each individual poster will have a different understanding and a different issue in relation to the question at hand.
By all means simply say ignore the ticket completely(that would be my personal advice) but when this question comes up I give the Legal Beagles "official" line which is the recommended advice from Pepipoo. Please do the same or simply state that you disagree with the site advice as I have said before or simply say that it is your personal opinion to ignore the tickets completely(which is distinct from the recommended site advice). It saves this continual walking through sludge that is appearing on the various threads where you are posting at the moment."Family means that no one gets forgotten or left behind"

Obviously, you can choose to just ignore.
But.... for god's sake, you think parking companies are bailiffs. Think Popla enters you into a contact.
Would be hilarious, if you weren't posting such bullwarks on a thread where some someone needed genuine help.
