  • NCP Final Reminder Notice Received

    Hi

    I'm looking for some help!

I've just recieved an NCP Final Reminder Notice in the post for an alleged parking contravention. The alleged incident occured in July 2024 and the Final Reminder Notice was sent on 25th October 2024. This is the first notice of any kind that I have received.

I'd be glad of any guidance on how to proceed with this. As far as I understand, as it is beyond the statutory 14 days, therefore not legally enforceable?

    Look forward to your responses!

    Thanks

The 14 days to which you refer are only applicable if the parking company is pursuing the keeper, and refer to the initial Notice to Keeper.

The company are going to state they sent the original notice in accordance with the regulations.

What I would advise is that you write to the parking company asking for a copy of the original NTK as this is the first notification you have received.
Post up a redacted copy if/when received

Do not identify the driver when communicating with them, or when posting on open forum.

      Thanks Des8!

Issue I now have is that the option to appeal the parking charge is not available on the NCP website as I am outside of the 28 days from the initial PCN (that I never received!)

I guess I send a letter to their registered office??

      Thanks

Have you tried their contact page (https://www.ncp.co.uk/help-centre/contact-us/)
if that doesn't work you have no option but to write to their reg, office, but don't expect a response!

The next letter will either be a further reminder or from a debt collector

            Hi

I've tried to contact NCP but to no avail.

I now have a letter from a debt collection company requesting payment... I'd be glad to know how to go about this. The debt collection company is "Trace Debt Recovery".

            Many thanks

You may ignore, or tell them the matter is disputed and you are awaiting a response from NCP (or pay up)

                Thanks Des8

I have now received a response from NCP which I have copied below:

We are sorry for the delay in responding to your email.

We have attached copies of the originally sent letters in this email. The PCN has now been removed from Trace debt recovery, If you wish to make a formal appeal against the PCN, you can do so at the below link:
                https://gaparking.co.uk/#manage

                Thanks,

                NCP Appeals Department

They have attached the original NTK and Final Reminder as well.

In your opinion, is it worth appealing given the length of time it has taken for them to send the NTK to me?

Be glad of your thoughts. Let me know if you need any more info.

                Thanks

Couldn't possibly offer an opinion on the value of appealing without at least seeing the complete NTK, and possibly the signage.
