  • Deb Recovery Plus Help

    Hello,

I have today received a letter from Debt recovery plus help for a PCN parking fine by EuroCarParks I didn’t receive any other letters from them before this and they are trying to get me to pay £170 for a parking charge.

I am unsure from when the initial letter was sent before receiving this one and was wondering what steps I should take as the initial fine was only £100 and half if paid in 14 days but has now increased to £170

    Thank you for any help.

As you can't find the letter you can hardly reply to it but never mind as they probably wouldn't accept less than the £170.

Await another letter, or perhaps court papers and then we can work out your defence.
Do not identify the possible driver either on here or if contacting them

So write and tell them this is the first you have heard of an outstanding parking charge( it is not a fine!) and you need full details (e.g. copy of original notice) so you can consider your position.
            Do not identify the driver.

What you need is a copy of the original notice to Keeper to check the parking company has complied with the relevant act
            (PoFA2012)
When that is to hand and the location known, the signs at the car park can be checked for compliance with the relevant codes, and to see if they are capable of forming a contract.

                  Good morning,
I really need help with something very similar ,
I drove into a car park and couldn’t purchase a ticket due to both ticket machines being broken , so I drove to an alternative car park purchased a ticket and went on my way … i subsequently received a parking fine for not purchasing a ticket . I appealed the fine , my appeal was denied and I now have DRP texting & sending letters .
I have been told to ignore them but the letters, I feel very strongly that this isn’t fair as I didn’t park in the car patk . I feel my appeal wasn’t even read . I’m at my wits end but feel on principle that I shouldn’t pay .
                  please help
