Hello, wondering if you can help. I have received a parking charge from Parkingeye which I think is unfair as I tried paying to use the car park by card but the machines weren’t working. Instead I parked in a multi storey car park nearby (which shows on my bank statement). The charge is for parking for 9 minutes - for being in a car park with no fully working pay machines. It says on the letter to pay £60 within 14 days or £100 after. I don’t think I should pay as the 9 minutes I was there, I was trying to pay. Also £60 or £100 doesn’t reflect the time I was there either. Where do I stand legally?
