My friend bought a van from a garage and he had issues with it he took it back and they have sent it to several garages and they said the problem was done, however since having it back hes still having problems all this was in the first 30 days hes since taken it to a garage of his own and they discovered that the dpf has been removed can he ask for a refund it will not pass a mot?

Yes, he can reject it and ask for a refund under s22 Consumer Rights Act 2015 (CRA) - he must do this within 30 days of purchase.
S9 CRA provides that goods must be of satisfactory quality when sold. Not having a damp proof floor indicates that this vehicle was not of satisfactory quality.Lawyer (solicitor) - retired from practice, now supervising solicitor in a university law clinic. I do not advise by private message.
