Hello
I am retired living on Pension credit with my wife in Harrow in Middlesex, My problem is I have a son aged 19 living at home, he has just finished collage on the 1st Sept 2014, when he was at collage we were getting Child Tax Credit of around £60 plus Family Allowance of £20 per week, since the 1st Sept 2014 he has been claiming Job Seekers Allowance of £51 per week, as you can see we are getting round £30 per week less, How we are supposed to feed, clothe, heat him and give him money for buses and trains to go out looking for work on £50 is crazy!!
But now Harrow Council have sent me a council tax bill for £3.70 per week for a none dependant living with us is just mad, we are getting £30 a week less than when my son was at collage (when we did not have to pay any council tax).
My question is can we do anything about our situation, as I said we are only on pension credit, and everything seems to be going up in price electric, food, heating
