Hi everybody, I'm a new member whose had a wide range of personal debt issues connected with business & self-employment and as such I've followed the site for a long while. I've presently got an issue with a bunch of very clever business transfer operators called Ernest Wilson Co. Ltd from Leeds. Are there any treads or has anyone any info. on them. Beyond their websites, Companies House and Director Searches, nothing unusual from me. An LB search reveals no results either. It's possible people have had experience of them, so worth posting up a thread. :beagle: -

Boardreader indicates that the previous thread on LB about E.W. was removed at op's request.
Recall these people as business transfer agents, who do little if anything, but manage to charge exorbitant sums when business changes hands. Not only commission, but advertising charges running into £thousands.Last edited by des8; 25th September 2013, 16:51:PM.Comment

There was a lengthy thread on LB on the subject of this firm and their alleged misconduct earlier this year but the thread has been deleted. Admin may tell you why?
A number of web references to alleged misbehaviour (in line with Des8's post above) have also disappeared without trace. (Web References were disappearing by the minute during the last thread).

There was an interesting thread which has disappeared involving Ernest Wilson and a long list of people who were complaining about advertising charges being applied following a no sale on a "no sale no fee" arrangement. Basically the view was being expressed that it was an exceptionally clever and long running scam that took advantage of small business owners. Best thing to do is complain to the ombudsman and any umbrella organisations - you will find these if you google Ernest Wilson Settlements.Comment

The Poster of the original thread requested its removal - I did post on it and leave it a couple days before taking it down.
I'll go through it and take anything not directly related to that specific case out and to a visible thread.Since this posting, this matter proceeded to the County Court whereby Judgment was awarded in Ernest Wilson's Favour.
