That's interesting. Birmingham Midshires was taken over by Halifax which was taken over by ... BOS which became HBOS which was taken over by Lloyds TSB :blah: :blah: :blah: in the 2008 Credit Crunch Chaos (something like that).

So to update received notice of eviction today for 16th May BUT in the meantime the landlord has accepted an offer on the house! and from my understanding eviction is void if a sale is going through?

Any thoughts?

My first thought is you should still make an application to the court to postpone the eviction due on 18th May for 8 weeks regardless of whether the owner/Landlord has accepted an offer. Your application is on behalf of you and your need to have more time to find somewhere else to live. You should be given a hearing date in June and hopefully an 'out date' in August

My second thought is if the Landlord/Owner has accepted a viable offer on the property then he should make an application to the court to postpone the eviction based on his reasons.

Two applications are better than one :grin:
