    Re: boundary issues with neighbour

    Yes :beagle:
"Although scalar fields are Lorentz scalars, they may transform nontrivially under other symmetries, such as flavour or isospin. For example, the pion is invariant under the restricted Lorentz group, but is an isospin triplet (meaning it transforms like a three component vector under the SU(2) isospin symmetry). Furthermore, it picks up a negative phase under parity inversion, so it transforms nontrivially under the full Lorentz group; such particles are called pseudoscalar rather than scalar. Most mesons are pseudoscalar particles." (finally explained to a captivated Celestine by Professor Brian Cox on Wednesday 27th June 2012 )

        Re: boundary issues with neighbour

That is fine - does that mean I can vault his fence to clear the drains on a drain that overhangs his property?

On a different note. I have just arrived home after a 2 week holiday and the guy has put up a fence on his side of the boundary along my driveway. In doing so he has damaged a concrete marker which is mine. Do I have a right to ask him to replace this at his expense?

        Thanks

Not 100% sure, but I would think yes, as long as you can prove he did the damage.

            Re: boundary issues with neighbour

the damage wasnt there before, it looks recent and they've placed a concreted in post right beside it, so i assume the damage was done whilst they were digging the hole. i have no photos or witness to prove they have done it though...

              Re: boundary issues with neighbour

With a lack of evidence, other than common sense suggesting what has happened, perhaps the best approach would be a friendly word to him to ask if he'll pay for the damage caused.

friendly - they don't do. They are rude and have absolutely no respect for us. White trash with money! Who else would put Brabus badges on an AMG Merc!?!

If not a friendly word, is it possible to have a polite word with them?

wasn't thinking anything quite as dramatic as that - too many police for neighbours even if I wanted to.

Mr & Mrs Neighbour have been out all day so it'll have to do until tomorrow

apparently I'm just being silly, thinking that they should have to fix the edgers they have damaged. And they don't have a problem with us, unannounced accessing their garden to 'maintain or decorate' our garage wall/roof....hmmmmm fluorescent pink or yellow?

So they confess to damaging them?
