Hi all. I need your help please.
on the 5th March I have a court hearing relating to £1600 arrears on my 2nd charge mortgage
All this mess happened during Covid where I was made redundant.
I have received no paperwork from either Court or mortgage company relating to any defence I can make or request an adjournment and time is short.
I can borrow the money from a relative to pay the arrears but I first wanted to know what would likely happen if I paid the arrears in full before the hearing.
Will the hearing still go ahead or is this at the discretion of the mortgage company?
Speaking to my mortgage provider, the case would only be adjourned and not cancelled.
At this point I have managed to make bulk payments to bring the balance down from £2000 to around £1600 over the last few months.
Can anyone please offer advice on what the likely outcome would be if I cant pay off the arrears balance or if I do.
Thank you
