Hello,
Thank you for accepting me as a member.
I have my house leased to an estate agent for 2 years whilst I was living elsewhere. So the estate agents give guaranteed rent and hence that fact I had to sign a lease agreement with them.
The contract says that I have to give them a written notice to acquire the house back and they should be able to hand back the property in 3 months. It's been 6 months and they still haven't been able to hand back the property. They are not taking their tenants to court. Instead asking me to take them, the estate agents, to the court. Then they will take the tenants to the court.
It sounds like they are going to use the my court papers to get the tenants evicted. Cos I don't see why they would only take their tenants to court, after we take the estate agents in, or issue summons.
In the meantime, I am paying rent elsewhere.
How do I approach this?
Can I claim my expenses from the estate agent?
I don't have funds for the court fees or a solicitor.
Thank you
