  • Problem Neighbour

Our neighbour had an industrial sized grow farm set up nextdoor a couple of years ago. After multiple complaints to the police/landlord the police raided and he ended up in court a while later. He got off the charges due to claiming/having various mental health conditions. The housing association gave him a warning and he still lives next door.

Now, the grow farm is back complete with new generators (constant hum), filched electric (we think) and the smell of cannabis infiltrating our house again.

We called the Police again and assume they’ll raid again at some point. Obviously, we’d rather this didn’t go on indefinitely, it’s stressful and we have young children. We were wondering what we could do from a legal perspective. Would it be an option to begin action against the housing association?

    Any guidance much appreciated!

Advice keep badging the Police to try and get to the top man as that is illegal. I will have a word with my mate he did loads of raids on this activity.

Complain to the housing association and ask them to do an inspection, if that's going on then he'll be in breach of his tenancy and they may start eviction proceedings.
