    That's a standard response from Trading Standards (no doubt it is true in some respects - cutbacks). The point of Trading Standards is to stop traders / bad businesses in their tracks, not wait for more consumers to fall foul of traders / bad businesses. I would 'progress this complaint to Stage 2 of the Corporate Complaints Process by contacting the Customer Feedback Team'. Then LGO.
