HELP
Won a bargain car on Ebay problem I have just been told they cant find the log book
Its a medium size garage with a good feedback car checks out on HPI .
What can I do if I cant get the logbook?

Have you been to see the car ?

The garage can apply for a replacement logbook - think it's £25

I wouldn't, personally, touch it without.

car is a very good buy had enough trouble finding another runaround after the other one died looks like I might have to take a chance or have more hassle finding another one

It is a risk only you know if you are willing to take.

Send me a link to the eBay listing if U like and I'll ask Tools to have a look. He's quite good sniffing these things out. You HPI checked it already didn't you? Is the car taxed as you need the logbook to get the tax.

V5 takes a couple weeks to come through apparently xx

Think ill take a chance it can be off road until I can tax it with new V5 thanks for helping Ame needed someone to give an opinion I hate decisions these days trying to stop the hassle in life

I don't know about you but after years of building buisnesses up and working till I dropped me and OH we lost it all in the recession but came out deep in debt that we can never repay life is faily good now im on a tiny pension and carers allowance while she is disabled but wont give into it our pleasures are the family and our allotments growing tons of stuff and giving it away money is second to everything we tried we failed and never got the benefit of success but life is good .
that's what the cars for the allotment

The garage could apply for a new V5 over the phone and using a debit card (if vehicle registered in their name)
Although it can take up to 10 days to arrive in my experience it only takes about 4.
Don't forget if you drive it home without a road fund licence you can be done. I once got picked up driving a newly acquired car to the post office to tax it. I'd only had it an hour

After a sleepless night wonder to or get the car the dealer phones to say logbook found will get the thing tomorrow got a long train journey to collect but will get train ticket just in case!
